  • Arlington: Writer’s Coffeeshop at Urban Alchemy – UT Arlington Associate Professor Peggy Semingson hosts the Writer’s Coffeeshop, an informal gathering. Bring your laptop or notebook and work in community. The event is hosted Tuesdays from 1-4 p.m. throughout August. The address is 403 E. Main St, Arlington, 76010. Click here to learn more.
  • Plano: Quilt 2018 – Calling all fabric fanatics! Save the date for the Plano Quilt Show, held August 10 and 11 at the Plano Event Center, 2000 E. Spring Creek Parkway. This year’s raffle quilt is “Stars in the Garden.” This unique event also provides an opportunity to educate and inspire younger generations with the fine art of quilting. Let’s sew.
  • The Colony: Summer Clubhouse – Don’t miss your last chance to join The Colony Clubhouse, a free summer event series for children of all ages at The Colony Recreation Center, 5151 N. Colony Boulevard. Doors open at 9 a.m., and the show begins at 10 a.m. The Aug. 10 featured film is Sherlock Gnomes. Get your snacks and popcorn ready now.
