Be Alert for New Lanes – And Workers

If you’ve recently traveled the 11 miles or so of the Dallas North Tollway between Interstate 635 and the Sam Rayburn Tollway, you may have noticed more lanes in more places.

Construction crews have opened more and more sections of the tollway’s fourth lanes we’ve been promising you, but please be aware that occasional lane and ramp closures and traffic shifts are still required, and construction barrels – and workers – remain in the area.

Did you know that of the thousands of people killed in work zone crashes along the nation’s highways over the past few years, drivers – not construction workers – are killed most often? For your safety and the safety of our work crews, we ask you to observe the lowered speed limits throughout these work zones. These lowered speed limits will be enforced until all construction is completed and the signs are changed.

Spring and the 360 Tollway are not that far away!

The Texas Department of Transportation, NTTA’s partner for the 360 Tollway, continues construction work on the new toll road south of Interstate 20. The nearly 10-mile extension of SH 360 will open to traffic this spring. After TxDOT completes construction, NTTA will operate and maintain the 360 Tollway, repaying TxDOT for the cost of construction with the tolls we collect.

Once the 360 Tollway opens, drivers throughout the region will have faster access to the growing communities of south Arlington, Grand Prairie and Mansfield with two main lanes in each direction and 11 entrance and 13 exit ramps throughout the corridor.

As with all NTTA toll roads, 360 Tollway will feature cashless tolling, so drivers won’t have to stop at a tollbooth or hunt for change to pay their toll … Reason #360 to get a TollTag now!
