We Believe in Fair Play – And Fair Pay

When you see someone cut in line, chances are, it bothers you. We all want things to be fair. The same is true for paying tolls.

As a TollTag member, you may wonder what we’re doing to collect from people who don’t prepay their tolls and don’t respond to our requests for payment.

Rest assured, we believe in fair play – and fair pay. We want to ensure that the cost of building and maintaining our roads is shared by everyone who chooses to use our tollways. So, we have multiple channels to  pursue payment from everyone, including ZipCash customers, rental car companies and car dealerships – even out-of-state drivers. We collect from them all.

Those traveling our roads without a TollTag are required to pay tolls at the higher ZipCash rate to help cover our cost of collecting from them. NTTA has a department dedicated to collecting payments from drivers who’ve ignored bills from us.

ZipCash customers who don’t pay on time incur late fees. And those who choose to continue ignoring bills face bigger fees and other consequences, including the possibility of having their vehicle registrations blocked, their vehicle impounded and being banned from our roads.

Of course, we would prefer it if everyone made the smart choice you did and signed up for a TollTag. In fact, we have a strong outreach program with area businesses to encourage drivers to get a TollTag.

All these efforts are designed to level the playing field for everyone and save all drivers money with a TollTag. If you know someone who needs a TollTag, do them a favor and put them in touch with us. They can sign up online, stop by or call 972-818-NTTA (6882) or 817-731-NTTA (6882).
