President George Bush Turnpike

Crews working to widen the President George Bush Turnpike between U.S. 75 and State Highway 78 are preparing to restripe the main lanes. The new lanes will open to traffic later this year, weather permitting.

Crews are also working to widen the Bush Turnpike by adding a fourth lane in each direction between the Dallas North Tollway and Interstate 35E. Work in that area is scheduled to be complete in late 2019.

Dallas North Tollway

Starting this month, crews will begin laying new pavement on the Dallas North Tollway south of Interstate 635. Crews will remove the top layer of the existing pavement and replace it with new pavement between Harvest Hill Road and Lovers Lane.

Crews will repave and restripe those lanes over weekends, weather permitting. The weekend work will include various lane and ramp closures, and we will post detailed closure information to our website when the work schedule is confirmed.

Similar work between Lovers Lane and I-35E is expected to occur in early fall.

These pavement improvements will provide a smoother driving surface and will enhance safety by increasing the visibility of lane stripes. We appreciate your patience as we work.
