ASK THE EXPERTS: WHY ARE TOLL RATES ADJUSTING?

Toll rates will increase an average of a penny per mile, from 19 to 20 cents, effective July 1. This helps us repay the $9.5 billion we’ve borrowed to construct, operate and maintain the high-quality of our toll roads. To help keep up with the mobility needs of our rapidly growing region, NTTA is spending nearly $2 billion to widen and improve our existing toll roads.

NTTA does not receive any tax funding or appropriations from the state legislature. The toll rate increase is part of a biennial toll rate schedule approved by NTTA’s Board of Directors.

As a TollTag customer, you pay the lowest toll rate available while those who do not pay at least 50 percent more.

And as TollTag customers, you continue to get the best value on more than just roll rates, including:

  • The lowest rates on any toll road in Texas, Oklahoma or Kansas
  • Convenient payment for parking at DFW International and Dallas Love Field airports
  • TollPerks – Earn rewards for driving on NTTA roads
  • Easy online account access – Check your balance, print receipts and update your information
  • No bills, no hassles – Avoid monthly ZipCash invoices and potential late fees

Also, anyone stranded alongside an NTTA road can call #999 for our roadside safety services, at no additional charge.

New rates will take effect July 1. Crews will be updating toll rate road signs in the coming weeks – please be alert to workers and drive safely.
