PGBT at SH 183 Ramps Closed May 5-7 for TxDOT’s Midtown Express

PRESIDENT GEORGE BUSH TURNPIKE (PGBT): PGBT at SH 183 ramps closed May 5-7 for TxDOT’s Midtown Express

The following closures are scheduled for work related to the Midtown Express, a project of the Texas Department of Transportation:

• The northbound PGBT to eastbound State Highway 183 direct-connector ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, May 5, through 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6. • The westbound SH 183 to southbound PGBT direct-connector ramp will be closed from 10 p.m. Saturday, May 6, through 10 a.m. Sunday, May 7.

Northbound PGBT to eastbound SH 183 detour: • Motorists will exit Northgate Drive and turn left. • Motorists will turn left onto SH 161 (the PGBT frontage road) and turn onto the westbound SH 183 frontage road. • They will turn left onto Valley View Lane and then turn left onto the eastbound SH 183 frontage road. They will go through the Esters Road intersection and then join eastbound SH 183.

Westbound SH 183 to southbound PGBT detour: • Motorists will exit Esters Road from SH 183. • Motorists will turn right onto northbound SH 161 (PGBT frontage road) to Northgate Drive. • They will turn left on Northgate Drive and then turn left onto southbound SH 161 (the PGBT frontage road) to enter the southbound PGBT.

Message boards will be placed nearby to alert motorists of the closure.

NOTE: Midtown Express crews will be closing other roads/ramps in the same area at the same time. Public announcements about those other closures will be made by the owners of the impacted facilities. Message boards will be placed nearby to alert motorists of these closures.

All closures are subject to weather conditions and will be postponed, if necessary.
