Red Thumb Safety Campaign Adds New Partners

Red Thumb Safety Campaign Adds New Partners

More regional agencies and businesses are choosing to partner with NTTA to encourage drivers to park their phones while they drive.

To date, nearly two dozen municipal and retail partners have joined NTTA in the nationwide Red Thumb movement. AAA Texas and Norma’s Café are the latest businesses to distribute specially-made NTTA “W8 2 TXT” thumb bands. Drivers wear the thumb bands as a reminder to avoid the temptation to text while driving. Thumb bands are also available for free at all NTTA TollTag Stores.

Drivers can make the commitment to drive phone-free today by take the Red Thumb pledge and sharing the message with family and friends on social media.

Help NTTA spread the message and encourage others to join the Red Thumb movement. If you know of a business or other community partner that may like to join forces in the Red Thumb movement, contact Susan Slupecki, NTTA public relations manager, at sslupecki@ntta.org.

And remember: STAY ALIVE. JUST DRIVE.
