TollTag Benefit: Save on the Newly Opened Section of I-30 TEXpress Lanes

Newswire 1_TEXpress logo
On Aug. 1, the Texas Department of Transportation opened a 9-mile section of the TEXpress Lanes (toll managed lanes) on Interstate 30 from west of State Highway 161 to west of Westmoreland Road in Dallas County.  The segment features two reversible lanes, improved TEXpress Lane access, including direct-connect ramps and upgraded connections to and from the mainlanes, and four entrance and exit ramps.

The TEXpress Lanes provide drivers an option. They can choose to take the mainlanes at no cost or pay to use the TEXpress Lanes, which keep traffic moving. For the month of August only, on weekday nights between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and all day Saturdays and Sundays, drivers can try the I-30 TEXpress Lanes at no cost.

Below is the schedule for the reversible lanes:

Monday – Friday: 2 to 8 p.m.

Monday – Friday: 9 p.m. to 11 a.m.
Saturday – Sunday: All day*

*Direction and hours for the weekend may be adjusted based on special events being held in the area.

NTTA provides billing services for all area TEXpress Lanes, and TollTag drivers receive the lowest rate on managed lanes. I-30 is a great link from Dallas or Fort Worth to AT&T Stadium for Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers games, and it connects to NTTA toll roads. View maps of the I-30 TEXpress Lanes, and make sure you are set up for additional savings on carpool and motorcycle travel.
