We Back Our Promises for Diversity with Action

We’re in our tenth year of helping diverse businesses acquire the skills necessary to join the pool of qualified vendors available to our industry.

In 2009, NTTA established a mentoring program to help prepare new and emerging disadvantaged/minority-owned/woman-owned business enterprises (D/M/WBEs) compete for contracts with NTTA and similar organizations.

Last month, our Board of Directors introduced our latest Relationships and Opportunities Advancing Diversity (ROAD) class.

These new participants will partner with established firms in a mentor-protégé-style relationship designed to enhance their technical and industry knowledge. This year’s ROAD class has nine teams.

“The ROAD program has been a fundamental part of shaping NTTA’s overall diversity efforts,” said NTTA Board Chairman Kenneth Barr. “We appreciate the partnerships and the relationships that have been forged by the many companies that have participated.”

To date, 40 teams have completed the ROAD program. Several consultants that once participated as protégés have gone on to become mentors in later classes, the ideal path for a ROAD participant.

Many of the prime contractors below have participated in the ROAD program since its inception.
